A clock that looks like an old handheld game

Pocket is a flip clock drawn like the screen of a classic handheld game: green tones, chunky pixel numbers and flips that move in small, choppy steps, the way old games did. The seconds tick along under a blinking PRESS START.

It's a small piece of nostalgia for a desk, a gaming setup or a stream, and a fun one to show children who have never seen a screen like it.

Good for: gaming setups, streams, retro collectors and pixel art fans.

Like retro? Studio is drawn as a real radio clock, and the 8-bit sound in typing sounds turns your keyboard into an old game.

Questions

Why do the numbers move in steps?

Old handheld screens could only redraw a few times a second, so everything moved in small jumps. Pocket flips in three choppy steps on purpose, to feel like those screens.

Is it a copy of a real console?

No. It's inspired by the green screens of the first handheld game consoles, not copied from any one device.

Can I get 8-bit sounds too?

Turn on the flip sound with the speaker button or the S key. For bleeps every time you press a key, try the 8-bit sound in typing sounds.
