Word clock
The time written out in big, bold words, like IT'S TEN FIFTY-TWO IN THE MORNING. Each word flips over when it changes. A calm, readable clock that's nice to look at.
The time, written the way you'd say it
A word clock tells the time in words instead of numbers. Physical word clocks light up words on a grid of letters. This one writes the time out in big, bold type, like IT'S TEN FIFTY-TWO IN THE MORNING, and each word flips over when it changes.
Reading the time as a sentence feels slower and calmer than reading digits, which is why people like word clocks on bookshelves and in living rooms. It's also a gentle way for children to link the clock with how we say the time out loud.
Good for: living rooms, bookshelves, calm desks and children learning to tell the time.

Questions
Does the word clock work in 24-hour time?
No. Words always says the time the way you'd say it out loud, with in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening or at night. The 24-hour setting changes the other styles.
How does it write times like 9:05?
The way people say them: NINE OH FIVE IN THE MORNING. On the hour it says o'clock, like THREE O'CLOCK IN THE AFTERNOON.
Can it help children learn to tell the time?
It can. Show Words next to a clock with numbers, using the arrow keys to switch between them, and the time in words starts to match the digits.
